Some Amorphophallus from Mulu National Park.

I photographed the following plants while I was hiking in Mulu National Park in spring 2016. I was heading toward the famous Deer Cave in order to enjoy the sight of thousands of bats and on the way, I evidently took the chance to observe the local fauna and flora.

I saw quite a good numbers of the aroids below along the way but unfortunately, they were not in flower. What a pity. They were still interesting enough and I spent some time examining them. I forgot to take some notes though and as I'm writing this short blog article, I wonder if I didn't actually get the name of this relatively small aroid in the course of a discussion with some of the friends accompanying. Of course, it clearly belongs to the genus Amorphophallus but I can't provide an identification at a specific level so, if you have an idea, please drop me a line. Thanks in advance. ;-)
